Seeking healthy participants for walking study
The Centre for Health, Exercise and Sports Medicine seeks participants aged 20 - 40, without an lower limb or back problems for a study of walking and one-leg squat performance. Subjects required for cannabis study
The Department of Psychiatry is looking for control subjects for a study examining how cannabis use affects the brain. There are two parts to the study: a memory testing session and a brain scanning session. Each session takes approximately two hours and participants receive a 50 dollar Coles-Myer voucher for each session. Participants should be 35-55 years old, NOT be using drugs or alcohol regularly, NOT have a university degree, and should NOT have a diagnosed mental illness.

Women's hair loss study
A University of Melbourne PhD student and the Department of Dermatology, St. Vincent's Hospital, is recruiting volunteers for a new study into women's hair loss. Healthy women aged between 18 and 50 years who experience scalp hair loss can participate in this 12 month research study to evaluate and compare different treatments. All consultations and treatments provided with the trial are free. This research project has been approved by the St Vincent's Hospital Human Research and Ethics Committee (HREC no: 012/07).

Participants needed for new osteoporosis medication
The Department of Medicine, Western Health is looking for Post- menopausal women over 65 with low bone mineral density to participate in a medical research study to test a new investigational medicine for treatment of osteoporosis. Eligible participates will have regular visits to a physician, study medication, calcium and vitamin D supplements, laboratory testing, spine x-ray and bone mineral density testing at no charge. The study will be conducted at Western Health.
