When a sore throat ends in heart ache

It’s a disease thought to affect more than 15 million people worldwide, 2.5 million of which are children, and more than 200 000 people are thought to die from it every year. That is approximately 10% of the number killed by HIV or malaria each year and yet many people still do not know the disease even exists.
