Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences

Educational technologies

An international leader in the design and development of educational technologies, our teaching programs are supported by a variety of innovative resources covering a wide range of topics in medicine and the health sciences. Our resources are developed in collaboration with subject experts and professional multimedia designers and programmers and are based on a strong understanding of our students' learning needs.

Medical curriculum

We are experienced at assisting other institutions to establish new curricula, for example in medicine or physiotherapy (rehabilitation science), to implement problem based learning in existing programs, or to source additional learning resources.

Our Medical Education Unit acts as a consultant for curriculum development, both nationally and internationally, and has strong links with several health professional schools in the Asia Pacific Region and the Middle East.

We can also provide consultancy services for other aspects of health education, such as the training of health educators in creating culturally appropriate teaching and assessment materials.

More information about our curriculum development services is available from our Medical Education Unit.

Teaching packages from the Biomedical Multimedia Unit

A range of multimedia computer-aided learning packages have been developed by the Biomedical Multimedia Unit which offer resources for:

  • teaching difficult content areas
  • providing easy access to selected materials
  • exploring concepts and mechanisms using simulations
  • learning in real-world scenarios
